Media Flashback Circa 2008

What did college students in New Hampshire know about online media and journalism in 2008?

Blogs written by my former New Media classmates that year can shed some light on the answer. At a quick glance, their blogs explored the types of resources we were using, the problems we were encountering, and the perspectives we had on our futures. Not counting this blog, 12 of the original 13 still exist. From what I can tell, only two of these former classmates updated their blogs beyond 2008, both for purposes other than journalism.

As I write this post, the 13 blogs still all are listed as featured links on Media Catcher. I will be taking them down. Homecoming

It's been more than two years since I last made a post, but I'm back. I'll be making some alterations to the blog since I am no longer a student and now have professional experience as a journalist. Obviously, newspapers and the Internet have undergone many changes over the past 30 months. I'm not entirely sure how I will organize posts or what direction I will take the blog, but it still will pertain to journalism, media and the Internet. You can soon look forward to another post.
